Stock vectors were put to work in the making of this illustration, but they are altered quite a lot. The result I can take credit for and I’m rather pleased with the colours I found. And these awesome numbers are set in HVD Comic Serif Pro. Go check out the cute slideshow for this font telling Comic Sans to get lost.

Professional patient Anna wanted a colour blast for her new blog and I got to play around in Illustrator for a whole wonderful workday to make that happen.

Logo for a Faster Railway!

Client: Bergensbanen 4-2020
Year: 2010
Project: logo

Bergensbanen is the beautiful, but terribly slow railway between Bergen and Oslo. Local companies, trade unions, politicians, passangers and environmentalists have joined forces to campaign for a modernization. The coalition is called Bergensbanen 4-2020 and demands the reduction to a 4 hour travel to be realized within the year 2020.

I’m finally done wrapping all this year’s gifts. I could confess to being somewhat neurotic about systematic wrappings, but why not just hide behind the fact that I am a graphic designer and sometimes I take my profession home. Hard to photograph and better looking in real life, but here they are:

Studying Chinese

I’m taking Chinese lessons and we had the last lesson of the year this week. I made some buttons for my classmates, certifying them as 中文学生. Zhōng wén xué sheng means Chinese (language) student.

And of course a button for our wonderful teacher also. 老师 are the characters for lǎo shī.

COLOURlovers is a wonderful inspiration and a favourite site to visit when I’m stuck. I trick my brain into thinking that we are just playing around, when we are actually producing interesting new colour palettes. Exactly what the project at hand might need.
